Resurrection as a Spiritual Practice
We will explore the Christian story of the death and resurrection of Jesus as a parable for spiritual growth. Repeatedly, we have to die to old ways of being in the world and allow something wider, working in our hearts, to welcome us into a wider reality.
Join us after the service, before the workshop for one of our famous community potlucks! Bring a dish to share & enjoy the sweet flavors of community fellowship!
Workshop: Putting Faith into Action – UU’s have a long history of walking our talk. Rev. Mary Grigolia will facilitate a conversation to explore:
• What forms of injustice are facing our community?
• What are members and friends already doing?
• How are you involved?
• What is the role of the congregation in responding to injustice?
• Where is the line between church and state, political action and religion?
