Join the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Erie County on the Lower Level of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 431 Columbus Avenue in Sandusky, Sunday, November 11 at 10:30am. Rev. Mary Grigolia will be leading the service – Honey from the Rock. The psalmist wrote, “I would feed you the finest of wheat and I would fill you with honey from the rock.” Scientists confirm that we co-evolved with our world: we are surrounded by what we need; our world needs our gifts. But what about that honey from the rock? Rev. Mary Grigolia will explore gratitude – even when it comes through adversity.
Don’t forget that it is Daylight Savings Time and to “Fall Back” an hour the night before!
Fair Trade Coffee & Tea will also be for sale before and after the service to benefit the fellowship and the well being of small farm cooperatives & communities.
Bring a dish to share for the potluck lunch following the service! We encourage you to stay for the mini-workshop after (12:15-1:30).
Crossing the Digital Divide: A Mini-Workshop (Part 2 of CONGREGATIONS AND BEYOND)
Open to Everyone. Especially You! (even if you didn’t come to part 1 – really!)
The religious and spiritual landscape is changing. More and more people are spiritual, not religious, seeking connections and wisdom on-line. We google. We tweet. We blog. We text. We are in constant contact. We like each other on Facebook. We endorse each other on LinkedIn. And yet more people are isolated than at any time. And there is a deep hunger for meaning.
What does this mean for our fellowship?
What do we have to say in the cyber conversation?
How can we put religiously progressive values out there?
Reminder: In the third workshop (Dec 2), we’ll explore next steps for growing the congregation and beyond, deepening a UU presence in Erie County.
