This Sunday features our very own Skip Oliver, who will be presenting “Our First War of Choice.” For those of you who do not know Skip, he’s a smart guy. He’s a professor emeritus of political science at Heidleberg, a sailor, a veteran, and a writer. In fact, all of these professions came together in conglomeration over Labor Day weekend when he participated in the War of 1812 Battle of Lake Erie re-enactment.

The service will begin at the usual 10:30 slot on the lower level of the 1st Congregational UCC at 431 Columbus Ave. in Sandusky. Just enter through the rear glass doors and take the elevator down.
