“Promised Land” is hitting theatres nationwide this weekend, and we are proud to say that our friends & family helped make this film possible!
Be part of the national dialog on energy policy, hydraulic fracturing and the way it is impacting communities all across the country! Join us in watching this Oscar-nominated film, directed by Gus Van Sant (Goodwill Hunting), this Saturday at the Regal Cobblestone Square 20 Theatre Complex in Elyria, Ohio.
We will be attending the 1:50pm matinee showing ($7.50/ticket) & will probably go have coffee somewhere after for discussion and fellowship.
“Promised Land” Story Line (Running Time: 1hr 46min):
Corporate salesman Steve Butler (Matt Damon) arrives in a rural town with his sales partner, Sue Thomason (Francis McDormand). With the town having been hit hard by the economic decline of recent years, the two outsiders see the local citizens as likely to accept their company’s offer, for drilling rights to their properties, as much-needed relief. What seems like an easy job for the duo becomes complicated by the objection of a respected schoolteacher (Hal Holbrook) with support from a grassroots campaign led by another man (John Krasinski) who counters Steve both personally and professionally.
We hope to see you!
